Mr. Chaib presides over the launch ceremony of the joint Algerian-Portuguese stamp issue marking the 50th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries

Today, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, presided over the inauguration and the "first-day-of-issue" postmark ceremony for a joint Algerian-Portuguese stamp release. This issuance commemorates the 50th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Secretary of State emphasized that this anniversary serves as an opportunity to reflect upon five decades of diplomatic relations—a period marked by dialogue, coordination, and growing closeness between the two sides—while highlighting the deep historical ties that unite Algeria and Portugal.

The event was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to Algeria, and various officials from both ministries.
