Mr. Attaf arrives in Niamey as a special envoy of the President of the Republic and is received by the President of the Republic of Niger.

In his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, arrived today in Niamey, the capital of Niger, for an official visit. Upon his arrival, he was received by Mr. Bakary Yaou Sangaré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Nigeriens Abroad of the Republic of Niger.

This visit takes place within the context of strengthening the positive momentum currently characterizing relations between Algeria and its sister nation, Niger. It reflects the commitment of the highest authorities in both countries to enhance bilateral cooperation and to deepen consultation and coordination on various regional and continental issues of common interest.

During this visit, the Minister of State will be received by the President of the Republic of Niger, Head of State, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, to whom he will deliver a written message from his counterpart, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs—in his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic—was received by General Abdourahamane Tchiani, Head of State and President of the Republic of Niger.

During the meeting, the Minister of State delivered a written message from the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the Nigerien President. In the message, President Tebboune expressed his great satisfaction with the level reached in bilateral relations across all fields, and reaffirmed his commitment to continue working with the Nigerien leader to further strengthen and consolidate these ties.

The two sides also reviewed the latest developments in the Sahel-Saharan region, as well as regional and international issues of common interest. In this context, the Minister of State emphasized Algeria’s readiness to work with all countries in the region to support security and stability, and to enhance coordination and joint cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of the region’s nations and their peoples.
