Mr. Attaf arrives in Tripoli to participate in the meeting of the African Union Committee of Ten.

Upon the instruction of the President of the Republic, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, arrived today in Tripoli, Libya. He is there to participate in the 14th ministerial meeting of the Committee of Ten (C-10) Heads of State and Government of the African Union—tasked with the reform of the UN Security Council—scheduled for October 10 and 11, 2026.

This meeting falls within the framework of the African Union's ongoing efforts to advance the UN Security Council reform process. The aim is to rectify the historical imbalances characterizing the global governance system and to ensure fair and equitable African representation within this pivotal UN body, in alignment with the African continent's aspirations and its common positions regarding the reform of the multilateral system.
